Scotland Rugby League are pleased to announce the following appointments to their Under 16 Management team.
- Steve Beaty and Mark Hennessey join as Assistant Coaches
- Martin Robertson becomes Team Manager
- Dougie Scott is appointed as Team Physio
- Matt Hogg as Development Coach
Jordan Robinson, Scotland Under 16 Head Coach, said:
I am delighted to have Mark and Steve joining the coaching team. The Under 16’s is a very important part of the Scotland pathway and both have considerable experience at this age group. We have already seen the benefit of their involvement with the players.
We are also introducing our young players to guys who have made their way through the Scotland pathway with senior international Matt Hogg helping take a session recently. Having Matt talk to these young players about his journey through the Scotland pathway can only help to inspire the next generation.

It is great to see the level of commitment that volunteers are prepared to give to Scotland Rugby League. We now have an experienced Under 16 team in place who will deliver a great experience for all the players who get involved in the programme
Scotland Under 16’s will play a number of matches this summer with fixtures already confirmed against The Midlands (home on 22nd June and away on 7th September) and away to Ireland on 24th August.
