The Caledonian Brewing National League started off with a high scoring affair at Inchmacoble Park on Saturday, with Aberdeen Warriors beating Strathmore Silverbacks 54-30.

Both team lineups contained experienced players and several debutants new to rugby league. Strathmore took an early lead but Aberdeen quickly levelled and took charge of the game with strong running from their powerful pack.  4 more tries meant they led at halftime 24-10.

Not to be deterred Strathmore faught back early in the second half and scored 4 tries on the bounce to take a lead.  However their resurgence was short lived, with the Warriors finishing the match strongly, scoring several tries past the young, tiring Silverback team.
